Sone Ka Anda/Musings – (Golden pot at end of the rainbow)

Golden pot at the end of the rainbow

I danced on the pavement of rainbow and I spotted the pot of gold. Delirious with joy, I ran to keep my find with doe speed. I felt special. I felt the chosen one. Not everyone finds a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Bam! I fell into a vortex of darkness and screamed into wakefulness. My mom rushed in from the other room. She held me close and soothed me. Then asked me about my nightmare. She heard the incident. I spoke about the unfairness of it all.

My mother smiled and said, ‘before rushing in on, I should have understood the colours of rainbow. VIBGYOR.

These colours are different colours/strokes of life. Violet calms, indigo simulates, blue encompasses, green enriches, yellow warms, orange is for creativity and red for passion. When you have gone through all the colours of life, lived and enjoyed them…’

‘Only then I will find the pot of gold’ I chipped in. No, said my mother. ‘What happens when you turn the wheel with rainbow colours?’

‘It becomes white’ I replied.

‘True’. Hence you experience a white light’.

‘Like yoga, meditation?’ I asked disappointed.

‘No’ she said, ‘like spiritual white light! It glistens and glows like a pot of gold’.

‘That’s the promised pot of gold at the end of rainbow’ she said with a smile as she tucked me to sleep.

PS: I lost my mother’s wisdom. But, I do know, I have to dance on my VIBGYOR pavement and discover the wisdom.
