By Grey Husky
My shoe’s shimmer had gone dimmer
I got no other choice
The silver toe ring keeps going ding
ding, my feet are so sore
Am waning am withering
Without the hair concealer I can’t afford
The unsightly grey’s that won’t stay hidden
In any hairdo up or down
credit card bills, phone, TV, tax, net
overflow my inbox
Oh I forgot the electric bill, EMIs and
various loan interests.
The dinners and dates postpone everytime
Those movie plans nil, no more.
My pretty smartphone has severe cracks,
Who cares! It still works.
The lip balm, my savior! Works much better
than the branded glosses.
I’ve scraped through this month
wallet empty and all except for a few coupons.
