To be.. or Not to be!
To be or not to be..? I don’t’ know. Here’s how I will depict that. I was travelling by metro to Delhi. The train speeded unconcerned about equally indifferent passengers.
I glanced around. Sitting or standing, each head was bowed to the web on their palms. The eerie light shone on their dull, dead to the surroundings features. A mischievous thought struck me. I gave a sudden guffaw. A moment of shocked stillness. In unison all heads turned to me. I smiled. My passport to human contact. Thousands of scowls creased across, glaring eyes shrank me in my seat. All the heads turned back in unison to the web in their palms. zombies. Human zombies.
By now, my breath was becoming hollow. I wanted to be..I wanted to be..The doors opened. I stumbled out along with zombies gasping for fresh air. All I wanted to be.. was a being. A human being!
